That is unless you shoot in digital, because with a few broad strokes with a photoshop brush, seeing what you get might not have been what you really got. I have been using photoshop for a number of years now, and i am happy to have seen it go from strength to strength, and eventually become the international standard in photo editing software. It has been my digital darkroom, for some time now and i can’t recommend it highly enough. Having said how great photoshop is and all the great stuff you can do with it etc. There is certainly a time and place for it. For me, photography is not just about taking a bunch of photo’s and giving them a make over on the computer. Its more about trying to see the world with no inhibitions and capturing that moment in time, where words fail to express the emotions frozen in the moment of that true work of art. Years of study, limitless patience, and plenty of practice is the only way to truly master your skill as a photographer. On a daily basis i learn something new about photography, and i have no doubt in my mind that i will ever know it all, that is just wishful thinking. But i have learnt a few tricks along the way and for certain some work better than others, and some will work for me and perhaps not for you.
